Set out below is information on our two Demonstration cars. If you have any questions on what has been done to the cars Paul and Stephen will be happy to talk to you.
Subaru ST17 UK Prodrive
Paul has always had a dream to create a Subaru that would be at home on the track and still be suitable for everyday road use. He now feels he has accomplished his mission and what a car it is! It handles superbly but is certainly not a car for novices. Like all Subarus it needs careful handling to achieve maximum effect but as a driving experience it is quite unique. For track use the power will be around 600bhp.
As a former Formula One Stock Car driver and a Subaru enthusiast for 12 years Paul knew exactly what he wanted and had the knowledge and expertise put his plans into practice. He has designed every aspect of the vehicle and, as a result, it represents a personal statement as how Subaru Imprezas can be pushed to the limit to achieve a driver’s vision. The starting point was a factory standard STI7 UK Prodrive purchased in February 02. The design process was partly intuitive – knowing what the Subaru is capable of and then putting together the components to achieve the right balance of power and safety.
The impressive specification is as follows;

EJ20 closed deck block, custom pistons, Tracktive rods and crank.
ARP block bolt kit, 14mm WRC head stud kit.

Paul has lost count of the number of hours he has spent designing and building the Subaru and takes a great deal of pride and satisfaction from what he has achieved. He says, “I have always enjoyed driving Subarus and wanted to set myself the challenge of creating something unique to show what can be achieved. The beauty of Subarus is that they can be customised to suit the owner’s wishes and I enjoy coming up with new ideas and finding solutions to problems.”
The car was put through its paces at a Track Day at Elvington near York recently and Paul was delighted with its handling and overall performance.
Subaru Impreza ST18
Stephen's car is a prime example as to how a standard Subaru can be developed at a reasonable cost to deliver improved performance and significantly enhance driver appeal. The car generates 441bhp at 6450rpm and 521nm at 4710rpm.
Stephen has also raced Formula 1 Stock cars and fully appreciated the additional power and road handling the modifications have given him.
The spec for his car is as follows;
